A Compassionate Guide on Your Journey Toward Healing

I am passionate about holding space for others—truly witnessing their experience without judgment.

I believe that healing begins when you feel seen, heard, and understood, and I strive to create an environment where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and life challenges with curiosity and compassion.

Values of empathy, authenticity, empowerment, and integration of mind, body, and spirit guide my work.

I’m Kathy Lee Prince, a graduate student in counseling at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), pursuing my master’s degree and licensure as an LPCC.

My journey to counseling comes from a deep interest in understanding human experience, personal growth, and the ways we can heal through connection, reflection, and self-awareness.

I bring my passion for holistic and integrative approaches to therapy, blending mindfulness, reflection, and relational support to create a safe and compassionate space for clients.

Why I Became
a Therapist

I became a therapist because I have always been fascinated by human resilience and the ways people navigate life’s challenges. I’ve experienced firsthand how transformative it is when someone truly witnesses and holds space for you.

I am deeply committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their emotions, thoughts, and experiences with curiosity and compassion.

I love helping people gain insight into their patterns, navigate transitions, and cultivate resilience, self-awareness, and emotional integration

“We all want to be witnessed—whether through our words or actions. Let me be a space for that to happen.”

I welcome clients who are seeking insight, growth, and a safe place to explore their inner world. While I provide counseling under supervision as part of my training, my goal is always to hold space with care, curiosity, and respect for your unique journey.

My Therapeutic
Approach

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

We'll explore the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and develop practical strategies to shift unhelpful patterns.

Trauma-Informed Care

I understand that trauma lives in the body and the nervous system, not just the mind. Our work will honor your pace and prioritize your sense of safety above all else.

Mindfulness-Based Techniques

I'll introduce grounding and mindfulness practices to help you stay present, manage overwhelming emotions, and reconnect with your body.

Narrative Therapy

Your story matters. We'll examine the narratives you've been told (and told yourself) and work together to rewrite the ones that no longer serve you.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

For clients dealing with trauma and PTSD, EMDR can be a powerful tool for processing painful memories and reducing their emotional charge.

This is the space to outline your areas of expertise and the specific services you offer to clients. Highlight your core competencies and the depth of knowledge you bring to each practice area.

A Little More About Me

When I'm not in session, you'll find me hiking local trails, reading fiction, practicing yoga, and spending time with my family.

I'm also passionate about reducing the stigma around mental health. I regularly contribute to local mental health organizations, to make therapy more accessible and approachable for everyone.
